Governor Hochul got caught in the hot seat. Republican Congresswoman Elise Stefanik grilled her hard about New York’s sanctuary policies. Hochul couldn’t answer basic questions. She didn’t even know the violent crimes committed by illegals protected under her own rules.
Stefanik started by nailing down the facts. She reminded Hochul that the Governor signed Executive Order One on her first day. This order shields illegal immigrants from federal law enforcement. Hochul extended it three times, most recently in January. But she acted clueless about her own policy.
The Congresswoman read straight from Hochul’s order. It bans state workers from helping federal immigration authorities. It even stops police from arresting illegals just for being here unlawfully. Stefanik then asked if Hochul knew Sakir Akkan. He’s an illegal migrant who committed horrific crimes in New York. Hochul had no idea who he was.
This isn’t some minor oversight. Under Hochul’s watch, violent illegals burned people alive, raped, and molested New Yorkers. Her sanctuary policies directly enabled these monsters. Yet in the hearing, she couldn’t name a single victim or criminal. Her ignorance is dangerous.
Real people are suffering because of Hochul’s heartless decisions. Families are torn apart by crimes committed by those she protects. She shields these criminals instead of deporting them. New Yorkers pay the price while she plays politics.
Conservatives know the truth. Open borders and sanctuary cities invite crime and chaos. They turn our neighborhoods into hunting grounds for predators. Hochul’s failed leadership proves Democrats care more about illegal aliens than American citizens.
Everyday New Yorkers aren’t safe anymore. Their governor would rather protect violent illegals than innocent families. This madness has to stop. We need leaders who put Americans first, not criminals who sneak across our border.
Hochul’s hearing exposed a brutal reality. Her policies are a direct threat to every law-abiding citizen. If we want safety and order, we must end sanctuary states now. Americans deserve protection, not apologies for killers.
