Hochul’s NY: Reddi-Wip Sales Are Subject To Fines, But Meth Smugglers Are Not Required To Post Bail

Businesses in New York City were figuratively locking up cans of Spam in early August, while "woke," elitist Kathy Hochul's risky cashless bail policy was releasing criminals. The vendors wished to prevent theft of the "cooked pork product".

We now know that stores in the Big Apple run the risk of being fined if they sell whipped cream cans to anyone under the age of 21. A $250 fine is assessed for the first infraction. The subsequent fine for persistent violations is $500.

Concerned about the rise in the number of teenagers getting high by inhaling the nitrous oxide used as a propellant in the canisters, the law was passed last year.

Nitrous oxide, also known as "laughing gas," is a dissociative anaesthetic that can be inhaled by firing "whippets," which are nitrous gas cartridges. It offers a dangerous, fleeting euphoria with potential long-term side effects.

Meanwhile, two weeks prior, two alleged Mexican drug cartel smugglers were apprehended with 165 pounds of crystal meth worth $1.2 million in the same crime-ridden city. Thanks to Kat Hochul's lax bail policies, they had to be released.

It appears that these two men could only be charged with second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, which was not a narcotic, under the state's out-of-date drug laws. That distinction was the deciding factor.

Just take a look at the meth-related videos on Hunter Biden's laptop for an example of the seemingly endless, catastrophic, and occasionally lethal effects of this extremely addictive substance.

It is impossible to overstate the lesson that we continue to take away from tales like these. The "woke" left of today automatically sides with those threatening society while upsetting or even fining honest, hardworking Americans.

Included would be those operating tiny companies in an increasingly hostile city, risking their fortunes and occasionally even their lives.
