Gavin Newsom Is Now Going After Concealed Carry Rights!

Following a series of mass shootings in California, Gov. Gavin Newsom has issued regulations aimed at restricting the Second Amendment rights of residents.

On Wednesday, Newsom supported Senate Bill 2, which would restrict where concealed weapons can be carried.

The regulations would prevent residents from carrying concealed weapons into parks, churches, libraries, and other public facilities.

The rule would not apply if the businessman puts up a sign allowing concealed guns.

Following last week's four mass shootings in California, the governor issued the regulations. However, the state's concealed carry law was not involved in the incidents.

Despite the new regulations, state Senator Anthony Portantino noted that businesses can still put up signs that allow concealed weapons.

He said that the bill he introduced aims to protect the Second Amendment by making sure that the regulations are upheld in court. He also noted that the exceptions in the law could help in constitutional muster.

Dan Reid, the NRA's California representative, called the regulations a political stunt.

He noted that if the governor and Attorney General Rob Bonta wanted to address the issue of violent crime in California, they would have enacted more comprehensive measures to reduce the state's soft-on-crime policies. Instead, they have decided to restrict the rights of law-abiding citizens.

The bill would prevent people under 21 years old from obtaining a concealed carry permit. It also requires people who are already carrying concealed guns to complete additional training.

Last year, the state attempted to pass a concealed carry law. However, it was not able to get enough support. The interference from the legislature required a two-thirds majority to implement the regulation.

On the other hand, Ron DeSantis, the governor of Florida, announced on Monday that he would allow people to carry concealed weapons without a permit.
