After discovering a network of Chinese trolls promoting pro-Chinese Communist Party propaganda on Tuesday, the global intelligence threat team at Meta shut down the first account in the network.
The Chinese operations we've taken down in the past talked mostly about America to the globe, primarily in South Asia, said Ben Nimmo, the chief of the investigative team. They did not talk to Americans about themselves, he said.

According to Meta, the accounts belonging to the network have been operational since November 2021 at the very least.
