Elon Musk Launches ‘America Party’ to Challenge Corrupt Political Elite

Elon Musk has launched a new political party called the “America Party,” directly challenging the two-party system. He announced this move in response to President Trump signing the “Big, Beautiful Bill,” which Musk argues will bankrupt America with wasteful spending. The Tesla CEO claims both major parties have merged into a corrupt “uniparty” that ignores everyday Americans.

Musk ran a poll asking his followers if he should create this new party. Over 1.2 million people voted, with 65% saying yes. He promised, “You want a new political party and you shall have it!” Musk says the America Party will fight to return freedom to citizens crushed by government overspending.

For now, Musk plans to target specific elections rather than running nationwide. He’ll focus on winning “two or three Senate seats and eight to 10 House districts.” This strategy aims to break the establishment’s grip without immediately trying to win the White House.

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent slammed Musk’s move, suggesting it hurts his businesses. He hinted that Musk’s company boards “weren’t so keen” on the political venture. Bessent represents the Washington elites threatened by Musk’s anti-establishment push.

Musk was once a major Republican donor but now attacks both parties. His fury over Trump’s spending bill drove him to form his own party. This shows even former allies think Trump betrayed conservative values with reckless government expansion.

Public opinion on Musk is deeply divided. Recent polls reveal 51% of Americans view Musk negatively. His time leading the Department of Governmental Efficiency left many voters distrustful despite supporting his smaller-government ideas.

Other billionaires like Mark Cuban and Anthony Scaramucci have shown interest in Musk’s political rebellion. Their involvement signals growing frustration among successful Americans tired of career politicians ruining the country.

President Trump hasn’t publicly commented yet, but insiders say he’s furious. Musk’s party directly undermines Trump’s agenda by calling out his debt-exploding bill. This conservative-on-conservarian fight reveals the GOP’s internal struggle between authentic reformers and compromised insiders.
