Duffy Sends Strong Message: No Federal Cash for Law-Breaking States

Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy is laying down the law to liberal states that refuse to follow federal immigration rules. He sent a clear message in April that states getting federal transportation money must cooperate with ICE and stop their anti-American DEI programs. Duffy warned it will be painful for states that choose to defy these basic requirements.

The rules are simple and fair. States must help federal immigration officers do their jobs instead of blocking them. They also need to end racist hiring practices that put skin color over merit. These are not new requirements but basic federal laws that liberal states have been ignoring for years.

Twenty Democrat attorneys general are now suing to keep their sanctuary state policies. They want to keep shielding illegal aliens from deportation while taking billions in taxpayer money. These same states hand out driver’s licenses to people who broke our immigration laws to get here.

This fight shows exactly what is wrong with liberal leadership today. They demand federal cash but refuse to follow federal law. They care more about protecting criminals than keeping American communities safe. Real Americans are tired of this double standard.

Immigration enforcement is not optional for states receiving our tax dollars. When illegal aliens commit crimes, sanctuary policies put innocent people at risk. States that block ICE investigations have blood on their hands when preventable tragedies happen.

The DEI requirements are just as important as immigration compliance. These programs discriminate against qualified Americans based on race and gender. Merit should determine who gets hired and promoted, not skin color or political correctness.

A federal judge in Rhode Island seemed to question Duffy’s authority during a recent hearing. The judge claimed Congress controls funding decisions, not cabinet secretaries. But Duffy is simply enforcing existing federal laws that liberal states want to ignore.

This is about more than transportation funding or immigration policy. It is about whether America will remain a nation of laws or become a playground for liberal activists. Duffy is fighting for every American who believes rules should apply to everyone equally.
