Devastating Texas Flood Claims 24 Lives, Many Still Missing

A terrible flood hit Texas over the 4th of July. At least 24 people are dead. Many more are missing after the flood waters rushed in.

Rescue teams are working hard to find survivors. They are using helicopters and military trucks. The flood was very fast and very dangerous.

Children from a summer camp are among the missing. About 23 campers are unaccounted for. This is a heartbreaking situation for Texas families.

The Guadalupe River rose 26 feet in just 45 minutes. That is taller than most houses. The water swept away cars and trees like toys.

Danger is still high as water levels remain up. Officials warn people to stay away from rivers. This disaster shows how nature can turn deadly fast.

This tragedy raises serious questions. Why weren’t there better warnings for families? The government must do more to protect citizens from such disasters.

Our brave first responders are true heroes. They rescued over 230 people already. America owes them our deepest thanks and prayers.

We must come together as Texans and Americans. Pray for the victims and their families. Stand strong against nature’s fury and support the recovery.
