Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz blasted his own university this week for spreading hate that “fuels violence against Jewish students.” He accused college leaders of letting radical professors teach antisemitism while hiding behind “academic freedom.” Dershowitz warned this isn’t about free speech – it’s about propaganda that puts lives at risk.
The legendary lawyer compared Harvard’s excuses to 1950s segregationists who claimed “academic freedom” let them teach white supremacy. “They wanted Klan members harassing Black students back then,” he said. “Now they let professors demonize Israel and Jews.” His fiery comments came after pro-Hamas mobs attacked Jewish students on campus last month.
Dershowitz praised President Trump’s decision to freeze taxpayer funding for colleges promoting antisemitism. “Three cheers for standing up to these elite bullies,” he declared. Harvard recently sued over the funding cuts, claiming Trump wants to “micromanage” education. “Nonsense,” Dershowitz shot back. “They just hate being held accountable.”
Jewish students reported finding swastikas carved into dorm walls last week – the latest in over 70 antisemitic incidents this school year. Parents are pulling kids out of Ivy League schools, with one mother crying: “My daughter hides her Star of David necklace now.” Dershowitz said these hate crimes flow directly from classroom lies about Israel being “colonial occupiers.”
The professor demanded Congress investigate universities using federal money to spread anti-American ideas. “They teach kids to hate our country while taking billions from taxpayers,” he fumed. Dershowitz urged lawmakers to cut every dime from schools that host Hamas sympathizers or anti-Israel extremists.
Alumni donations to Harvard have dropped 40% since the antisemitism scandal erupted. “Rich liberals finally see where their money really goes,” Dershowitz noted. He warned trustees to fire any administrator who ignores Jewish students’ safety. “Wake up before someone gets killed,” he said bluntly.
Dershowitz saved his harshest words for college presidents who “coddle terrorists but punish ROTC programs.” He slammed them as cowards who “bow to woke mobs” instead of protecting constitutional rights. “These campuses breed tomorrow’s jihadists,” he warned. “We’re funding our own destruction.”
The 86-year-old legal icon vowed to keep fighting until universities honor their promise of true diversity. “Real education teaches facts, not hate,” he said. “America’s greatness comes from freedom – not letting Marxist professors rewrite history to attack our friends like Israel.”
