Jeffries stood talking for over eight hours starting very early in the morning. He read letters from people who might lose government help. He called the bill “immoral” and said it hurt children and seniors.
Speaker Mike Johnson blasted Jeffries’ speech as a total waste of time. Other Republicans just shook their heads at this delay tactic. Everyone knew it wouldn’t stop the bill from passing.
The speech achieved nothing because the Big Beautiful Bill passed the House. It now heads to President Trump’s desk to become law. Jeffries’ big gamble failed completely.
This was pure political theater from Democrats who have lost touch with real Americans. They care more about blocking Trump than helping hardworking families. Their games hurt our country.
