Democrat Kaine’s Shocking Attack on God-Given Rights Exposed

Democrat Senator Tim Kaine just showed America exactly how far his party has fallen from our founding principles. During a Senate hearing this week, the Virginia Democrat called the idea that our rights come from God “extremely troubling.” This is the same concept that Thomas Jefferson wrote about in the Declaration of Independence over 200 years ago.

Kaine tried to compare America’s founding beliefs to those of the Iranian government. He claimed that because Iran’s theocratic regime believes in God-given rights, America shouldn’t either. This twisted logic shows how Democrats will attack anything, even our most sacred founding principles, to score political points.

Thankfully, Texas Senator Ted Cruz was there to defend America. Cruz reminded everyone that God-given rights are “literally the founding principle upon which the United States of America was created.” He pointed out that Jefferson himself wrote these words into our Declaration of Independence.

The Declaration clearly states that all people “are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights.” These rights don’t come from government bureaucrats or liberal politicians. They come from God himself, which means no politician can take them away from us.

This isn’t just about one Democrat’s ignorance of American history. This represents everything wrong with today’s liberal movement. They want government to control every aspect of our lives, including deciding what rights we get to keep.

When Democrats like Kaine attack the idea of God-given rights, they’re attacking the very foundation of American freedom. They want to replace our Creator with their big government programs. They think Washington politicians should decide what freedoms Americans deserve.

Our Founding Fathers risked everything to establish a nation where rights come from above, not from corrupt politicians. Men like Jefferson understood that when government gives you rights, government can also take them away. But when God gives you rights, they can never be destroyed.

Every patriotic American should be alarmed by Kaine’s comments. We must defend the principles that made America the greatest nation on earth. Our God-given rights are not troubling – they’re the reason we’re still free.
