Finally, some Democrats are waking up to the dangerous game their party has been playing. Senator John Fetterman from Pennsylvania joined Republican Senator Dave McCormick on Fox News to call out the extreme language that has poisoned our politics. It took multiple assassination attempts on President Trump for liberals to realize their hateful rhetoric has consequences.
Fetterman actually admitted that calling people Hitler or Nazis is completely wrong and dangerous. He said comparing anyone to Hitler disrespects the 75 to 80 million people who died in World War II. This is shocking coming from a Democrat, since his party has spent years calling Trump and conservatives these exact names.
Senator McCormick was there when President Trump was shot in Butler, Pennsylvania. He has seen firsthand how the left’s violent language turns into real violence against Republicans. McCormick pointed out that survey data shows 25 percent of very liberal people think political violence is okay, compared to just 3 percent of conservatives.
The numbers don’t lie about which side is really causing the violence in America. While Democrats scream about democracy being under attack, they are the ones actually attacking it. Their constant use of terms like fascist and Nazi has given their supporters permission to commit acts of violence.
McCormick also mentioned that Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro’s family was targeted in an arson attack. This shows how the left’s dangerous rhetoric affects real families and puts innocent people at risk. When Democrats call Republicans enemies of democracy, their supporters take that as a call to action.
For years, conservatives have been saying that heated language from the left would lead to violence. We were called crazy for warning about this, but we were right all along. The assassination attempts on Trump prove that words have consequences when they come from irresponsible politicians and media figures.
It’s good that some Democrats are finally admitting the problem, but this feels like too little, too late. They spent years building up this culture of political hate and violence. Now they want to act surprised when their supporters actually follow through on the message.
Real Americans want leaders who can disagree without trying to destroy each other. We need more politicians like McCormick who will stand up for civility while still fighting for conservative values. The radical left created this mess, and now everyone has to live with the dangerous consequences.
