Back in May, Charleston police found McLeod walking around downtown in nothing but his underwear and shoes. He was yelling at the top of his lungs and acting completely out of control. Police arrested him for disorderly conduct after his wild public meltdown.
The dashcam video shows 35 minutes of pure chaos. McLeod screams profanities and racial slurs while chained up in the police car. He rambles about being related to the president and makes no sense at all.
Instead of apologizing to the people of South Carolina, McLeod is making excuses. He claims his arrest was illegal and says the video was released just to hurt his campaign. This is exactly what liberals always do when they get caught behaving badly.
The timing of this mess tells you everything you need to know. McLeod announced his run for governor on Monday, and the embarrassing video came out on Tuesday. One day he thinks he should lead our state, the next day everyone sees him acting like a complete lunatic.
Where are the Democrat Party leaders calling for basic standards? If this was a Republican candidate, the liberal media would be screaming for weeks about it. But since he has a D next to his name, they want to sweep it under the rug.
This is what you get when liberals run for office these days. They have no shame, no class, and no respect for the law. McLeod thinks South Carolina voters will just ignore his public breakdown and vote for him anyway.
Real conservative leaders know that character matters and actions have consequences. South Carolina deserves so much better than a man who runs around downtown in his underwear screaming at police officers. We need leaders who respect our values, not embarrass our great state.
