Defense Secretary Faces Leftist Fury for Christian Prayer at Pentagon

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth faced intense backlash from left-leaning media and secular activists after hosting a voluntary Christian prayer service at the Pentagon. Critics claimed the event violated the “separation of church and state,” but conservative voices like Glenn Beck quickly fired back. Beck highlighted how Thomas Jefferson himself approved worship services in government buildings, proving the Left’s outrage is all about silencing faith, not protecting constitutional principles.

The prayer service drew hundreds of Pentagon employees who chose to attend, with Hegseth stating America must return to its “Christian foundation.” Liberal outlets falsely portrayed the gathering as “forced” on military personnel, ignoring its voluntary nature. This dishonest framing exposes their hostility toward public expressions of Christianity while embracing every other religion or secular ideology.

Glenn Beck demolished the “separation” myth by recalling that Jefferson attended weekly church services in the U.S. Capitol during his presidency. For 70 years, the House chamber hosted Christian worship open to all—a tradition no one questioned until recently. The Founding Fathers never intended to purge faith from public life, only to prevent government control over religion.

The Left’s tantrum reveals their true goal: erasing Judeo-Christian values from American institutions. Secular groups want our military weakened by moral confusion, not strengthened by biblical truth. Hegseth’s critics didn’t care when previous administrations promoted woke ideologies in the Pentagon—they only attack Christianity.

Hegseth stood firm, declaring, “I appeal to Jesus Christ” as the source of America’s strength. His Tennessee pastor delivered a powerful message about God’s sovereignty, emphasizing that leaders like President Trump are appointed by divine providence. This boldness terrifies elites who’ve spent decades pushing God out of schools, courts, and now our Armed Forces.

The attack on Hegseth mirrors broader efforts to criminalize traditional values. From persecuting nuns over birth control to suing small towns for displaying crosses, the Left weaponizes “separation” to attack believers. Meanwhile, they celebrate drag shows for kids and let radical ideologies infect every corner of government.

Conservatives recognize this moment as a tipping point. Either we defend our right to practice faith publicly, or surrender to atheist bullies dictating what ideas are allowed. Hegseth’s courage sets an example for every patriot tired of seeing our nation’s heritage erased.

The silent majority must rally behind leaders who put God first. As Beck proved, our history and Constitution fully support public faith. The real “danger” isn’t a prayer service—it’s letting anti-Christian radicals rewrite America’s story.
