Raymond Kohn pulled off an incredible stunt at the Somernites Cruise festival in Somerset, Kentucky. He drove a replica of the “General Lee” from “Dukes of Hazzard” and jumped it 150 feet right over the town’s fountain. Thousands of people watched him take the daring leap in that orange Dodge Charger.
The car flew through the air and crashed through the fountain’s water. It smashed into barricades on the other side. A photographer almost got hit and had to run for his life. Kohn walked away without a scratch.
This was Kohn’s 30th jump in the General Lee. He once flew 217 feet in that same car. He said every jump feels like a life-or-death situation. You have to admire that kind of courage and skill.
Stars from the original “Dukes of Hazzard” show were there cheering him on. John Schneider, who played Bo Duke, watched Kohn’s amazing feat. It felt like a scene right out of the classic TV show.
Kohn did this jump to honor the spirit of American freedom and adventure. He wasn’t afraid to take risks or push boundaries. That’s the kind of boldness that made America great in the first place.
He revealed he wants to do an even bigger jump next time. His dream is to leap over something involving President Trump. Now that would be a fantastic tribute to a true patriot.
It’s refreshing to see real American entertainment like this. No woke lectures, just pure excitement and skill. Events like this bring communities together the right way.
Kohn’s jump reminds us to celebrate our heritage boldly. Let’s keep this fearless American spirit alive for the next generation.
