CNN hit a new low this week with their disgusting coverage of the Charlotte train murder. They turned a horrific crime into a liberal talking point fest. A young Ukrainian refugee who came here seeking safety is dead, and CNN wants to debate politics.
Iryna Zarutska was just 23 years old when she was brutally stabbed to death on a Charlotte train. She fled war in Ukraine only to be murdered by a career criminal on American soil. This beautiful young woman deserved so much better from our justice system.
The killer, Decarlos Brown, had been arrested more than 14 times in 12 years. Fourteen times! Yet he was walking free to terrorize innocent people. This is what happens when weak liberal policies put criminals back on the streets over and over again.
CNN host Abby Phillip and her panel spent their time making excuses for the broken system. They talked about mental illness and where dangerous people should go. How about prison? How about keeping violent criminals locked up where they belong?
Conservative writer Caroline Downey was the only voice of reason on that panel. She pointed out that women are sitting ducks when repeat offenders roam free. She said what every American mother and daughter knows – we are lambs to the slaughter in this lawless country.
The liberal media always does this when criminals strike. They find every excuse except the obvious one – our justice system has gone soft. Catch and release policies are getting innocent people killed while the media makes excuses.
This poor Ukrainian woman survived a war zone only to die in what should be a safe American city. She trusted our country to protect her. Instead, our failed liberal justice system let a dangerous criminal walk free to take her life.
CNN should be ashamed of turning this tragedy into unwatchable liberal propaganda. Real Americans want justice, not excuses. We want criminals in jail, not roaming our streets looking for their next victim.
