Ciattarelli Declares War on Sanctuary Cities, Pledges Day-One Overhaul

New Jersey’s Republican gubernatorial candidate Jack Ciattarelli is taking a hard line against sanctuary cities, vowing to end the state’s liberal immigration policies. He blasted Newark Mayor Ras Baraka for causing chaos after Baraka was arrested at a federal immigration detention center for trespassing. Ciattarelli says Democrats’ push for sanctuary status puts communities at risk and ignores the rule of law.

Ciattarelli praised law enforcement for arresting Baraka, calling it common sense to handcuff anyone trespassing in secure areas. He accused Baraka and other Democratic candidates of wanting to turn New Jersey into a full sanctuary state. “These policies handcuff our police while letting criminals roam free,” Ciattarelli said, promising to restore cooperation with federal immigration authorities.

The GOP candidate exposed an email showing state troopers were ordered to ignore federal warrants for illegal immigrants. He says this proves Governor Murphy’s administration cares more about protecting lawbreakers than keeping neighborhoods safe. “Brave cops are fed up with being silenced by radical policies that put politics over public safety,” Ciattarelli declared.

Ciattarelli pledged to rip up New Jersey’s “sanctuary state” rules on day one as governor. He’ll work with President Trump to secure the border and deport illegal immigrants who commit crimes. “We’ll stop sending taxpayer money to cities that defy federal law,” he said, targeting Newark and Jersey City for prioritizing illegal immigrants over citizens.
