The gun disappeared while being moved just a few blocks from a church to a police station. Police officers covered up the theft by hiding identification tags and throwing evidence in the trash. This wasn’t an accident – it was a deliberate criminal act by the very people sworn to protect us.
The stolen gun didn’t just hurt Willingham. It was used in at least two other shootings before ending up in the hands of a 16-year-old criminal. While Chicago politicians pat themselves on the back for their feel-good programs, real people are getting shot with the same guns they promised to destroy.
This disaster shows why we can’t trust big government with our Second Amendment rights. Liberal cities like Chicago spend millions of taxpayer dollars on useless programs that make crime worse. They lie to citizens about destroying weapons while corrupt officials steal them and sell them back to criminals.

Willingham is now suing the city, but her lawsuit won’t bring back the safety Chicago stole from her. The officer whose name was on the paperwork was later killed in a so-called friendly fire incident. Convenient timing for a cover-up that goes all the way to the top.
Chicago has spent years attacking gun rights while crime explodes in their streets. Their own inspector general admits these programs are complete failures that waste money and endanger lives. Yet Democrats keep pushing the same failed policies that only help criminals.
