The truth is that non-residential burglary exploded by 50% in the first half of 2025 compared to last year. Business owners are getting crushed while the mayor pats himself on the back. June 2025 saw the most break-ins since August 2020, when riots destroyed our cities.
Johnson claims his “progressive approach to community safety is working” as he continues to waste taxpayer money on failed programs. Real Americans know that criminals don’t respond to social workers and community outreach. They respond to strong law enforcement and tough consequences.
President Trump proved that tough-on-crime policies actually work when he was in office. Cities that followed his lead saw real results, not the smoke and mirrors we’re seeing from Chicago today. Trump understood that you protect law-abiding citizens first, not the criminals.
The former DHS senior advisor is absolutely right that places like Chicago are not doing the right thing. Liberal mayors like Johnson care more about political correctness than protecting families. They refuse to admit their soft-on-crime approach has failed miserably.
While Johnson celebrates cherry-picked statistics, regular folks still can’t walk their neighborhoods safely. Small business owners are still getting robbed and vandalized at record rates. The liberal elite live in their safe bubbles while working families suffer.
It’s time for Chicago to accept help from leaders who actually know how to fight crime. President Trump offered real solutions based on proven results, not feel-good policies that sound nice but don’t work. Americans deserve better than these failed liberal experiments.
