Trump had posted a strong message on social media earlier this week. He shared a picture with words about loving “the smell of deportations in the morning.” The post also mentioned Chicago finding out about the “Department of WAR.”
The protesters don’t want ICE doing its job in their city. They’re upset that up to 300 federal agents might come to Chicago. Some immigrants stayed home because they were scared of getting caught.
This is exactly what Trump promised to do when he ran for president. He said he would crack down on illegal immigration and deport people who broke our laws. Chicago has been a sanctuary city that protects illegal immigrants for too long.
Local Democrat leaders like Governor Pritzker are fighting against federal law enforcement. They put up fencing around the courthouse and warned people about ICE coming. Even a Mexican festival got canceled because organizers were worried.
The protesters claim they’re protecting their community. But what they’re really doing is defending people who shouldn’t be here in the first place. Americans deserve to have immigration laws enforced in every city.
Chicago has serious crime problems that Democrat leaders have ignored for years. Now when the federal government tries to help by removing criminal immigrants, the left throws a fit. This shows how out of touch these protesters really are.
President Trump is keeping his word to the American people. He’s not backing down from liberal mayors and governors who refuse to enforce the law. Every patriotic American should support getting criminals and illegal immigrants out of our communities.
