Another American patriot is dead. Charlie Kirk, the fearless conservative leader who fought tirelessly for our values, was gunned down in cold blood at Utah Valley University. This wasn’t some random act of violence – this was a targeted political assassination of one of our movement’s brightest voices.
The killer, 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, stalked Kirk like a hunter. He climbed onto a campus roof and fired a single shot down at Kirk during an outdoor event. This coward planned every step of his evil attack against a man who only wanted to make America great again.
For over 30 hours, this monster ran free while our communities lived in fear. Thank God his own father finally did the right thing and turned him in after speaking with a minister. Even the FBI put up a $100,000 reward to catch this domestic terrorist who targeted Kirk for his conservative beliefs.
Kirk’s widow Erika showed incredible strength and grace in her first public speech since losing her husband. While she grieves, we see the true character of conservative families – faith, courage, and love for country even in the darkest hours. Her words remind us why we fight for American values every single day.
This attack is part of a sick pattern targeting conservatives across America. From attempts on President Trump’s life to the brutal murders of Minnesota officials, the left’s violent rhetoric is getting people killed. They demonize us as enemies, then act shocked when someone takes action.
Governor Spencer Cox is already moving to seek the death penalty, and that’s exactly what this killer deserves. There can be no mercy for those who murder Americans for their political beliefs. We must send a clear message that political violence will be met with the full force of justice.
Charlie Kirk spent his life defending the Constitution and fighting for hardworking Americans like us. He built Turning Point USA into a powerhouse that inspired millions of young conservatives to stand up for freedom. His legacy will live on in every patriot who refuses to stay silent.
We cannot let the left’s violence silence our voices or dim our resolve. Charlie Kirk died fighting for the America we all love – now it’s up to us to carry that torch forward. We owe it to his memory and to our children to never surrender this great nation to the forces of hatred and division.
