A Canadian police chief just told his citizens to roll over and play dead when criminals break into their homes. York Regional Police Chief Jim MacSween actually advised homeowners to “comply” with violent home invaders instead of defending themselves. This is what happens when liberal policies destroy common sense and basic human rights.
MacSween made these shocking comments after a father of four was murdered in his own home when he tried to protect his family from intruders. Instead of encouraging citizens to defend themselves, this weak police chief told them to hide in closets and hope for the best. He said the “best defense” is to comply with criminals who break into your house.
American conservatives immediately blasted this cowardly advice. They understand what every red-blooded American knows – you have the God-given right to protect your family and property. No decent person should have to beg for mercy from thugs who invade their home.
Even some Canadians are fighting back against this madness. Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre wants to change Canadian law so citizens can use deadly force against home invaders. He knows that law-abiding people deserve better than being told to surrender to criminals.
But the liberal Canadian government is pushing back hard. Justice Minister Sean Fraser attacked Poilievre’s common-sense proposal, saying Canada isn’t the “Wild West.” These liberals would rather protect criminals than innocent families trying to sleep safely in their beds.
This is exactly why Americans must never give up their Second Amendment rights. While Canadians are told to hide and comply, Americans can defend themselves with the tools our founders guaranteed us. The difference between freedom and submission couldn’t be clearer.
MacSween later tried to walk back his comments after the massive backlash. But his first instinct revealed everything – he thinks criminals deserve more protection than their victims. This is the natural result of decades of liberal policies that coddle lawbreakers.
Americans need to learn from Canada’s mistakes before it’s too late. When police tell you to comply with criminals instead of fighting back, you know your country has lost its way. We must stand strong against any politician who tries to weaken our right to self-defense.
