Sen. Joe Manchin is exaggerating his status as a "moderate" after supporting Biden's absurd spending proposal that will increase taxes on middle-class Americans.
Manchin is separating himself from Joe Biden and his fellow Democrats after facing a significant backlash from people in an effort to avoid coming out as radical or overly progressive during a time of record-high inflation — a real act of cowardice!
Manchin may have joined his Republican counterparts in pledging to thwart Biden's "Build Back Better" agenda, but he has since come out in full support of the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022, which the failing President fully backs.
In essence, Manchin has reneged on past commitments to never support major spending packages as Americans battle inflation. As a fallback, Manchin has completely distanced himself from Joe Biden and the Democrats.
On the question of whether he hopes Democrats maintain control of Congress following the 2022 midterm elections, the West Virginia Democrat remained uncommitted on Sunday. Additionally, he claimed to be uninterested in Biden's reelection.
Manchin, a centrist senator who occasionally irritates his Democratic colleagues by opposing legislation backed by the party's liberal wing, instead praised his capacity to collaborate with lawmakers on the other side of the aisle.

Manchin has always criticized what he terms "partisan gamesmanship," contending that he will cooperate with the winner of the November election. But that is the cowardliest action there is.
Manchin is currently attempting to go "full Ginsberg," appearing this morning on all five of the most popular Sunday morning talk shows. The moderate declined to back Joe Biden's reelection at a separate appearance on ABC.

JOE MANCHIN: "Everybody’s worried about the elections—that’s the problem.”

The Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 is an alternative to the Build Back Better legislation that Manchin and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer presented on Wednesday. However, Manchin's cowardice toward the same individuals he made the deal with is a true indication of his untrustworthiness.
Manchin has stated that the reconciliation package will put our "economic and financial house in order," despite the fact that he opposes Build Back Better because of its $2.4 trillion price tag.
Why not mobilize your entire support for your own party? Manchin once more demonstrating his unreliability.
