Border Patrol Hero Rips Dem Mayor Over Border Crisis Betrayal

Border Patrol veteran Art Del Cueto ripped into a Democratic mayor on The Ingraham Angle this week, calling the official’s remarks “a slap in the face” to the men and women who put their lives on the line at our southern border. Del Cueto, now speaking as a border security adviser, didn’t mince words — he reminded viewers that he served alongside people of all kinds in law enforcement and that cheap political theater from city halls betrays those sacrifices.

Del Cueto isn’t some armchair pundit; he joined the Federation for American Immigration Reform as a Border Security Advisor earlier this year after more than two decades on the front lines, and he’s been a visible voice for rank-and-file Border Patrol agents. His rise to national platforms comes after years of firsthand experience in the Tucson sector and work representing agents through the union, so when he speaks he speaks for boots on the ground, not a think-tank press release.

Americans should be outraged that Democratic politicians use migrant crises as optics while attacking the men and women trying to stop criminal smuggling and cartel exploitation. Del Cueto has repeatedly called out that hypocrisy, blasting photo-op visits and hollow speeches as insults to agents who’ve been begging for real policy, not photo opportunities. The anger among frontline agents is real and justified — politicians who virtue-signal about “compassion” while refusing to secure borders are complicit in the chaos.

Worse still, the media reflexively side with those politicians and turn honest, disciplined law enforcement into villains to fit a woke narrative. Del Cueto has pushed back against those false narratives — including ridiculous claims about agents’ conduct — insisting the public deserves the truth and that officers deserve leadership that defends them instead of abandoning them to attacks. Americans who value law and order should side with the people who protect our communities, not the pundits who peddle lies for clicks.

This is about more than one comment or one mayor; it’s about a pattern where left-wing officials prioritize political signaling over the safety of citizens and the dignity of public servants. Conservatives must be loud and unrelenting: back our law enforcement, demand border security that works, and hold accountable any elected official who treats those who defend the country like political props. No more apologies for wanting borders and enforcement.

Art Del Cueto’s voice ought to be a wake-up call to every patriot who still believes in sovereignty and the rule of law — he brings experience, courage, and plain-speaking that our leaders desperately lack. If we care about our towns, our jobs, and our children, we’ll stand with the men and women on the line and stop allowing Democratic mayors and their media allies to get away with putting politics ahead of public safety.
