White House Claps Back: New Tool Exposes Media Bias

The White House has quietly rolled out a long-overdue tool for transparency: a new “Media Offender of the Week” section on its official website that calls out outlets and reporters who publish misleading or biased coverage of the administration. Launched publicly at the end of November 2025, the page lays out specific examples of what the White House says are distortions and omissions, and it names names so Americans can judge for themselves.

This isn’t a gimmick — the page lists this week’s offenders, including CBS News, The Boston Globe, and The Independent, and it features an Offender Hall of Shame for repeat purveyors of bad reporting. The site categorizes offenses with blunt labels like “misrepresentation,” “omission of context,” and yes, “left-wing lunacy,” because the mainstream press has shown time and again it will bend facts to fit a narrative.

The immediate spark for the new section was media coverage of a recent controversy involving a video from six Democratic lawmakers urging service members to question orders they believed unlawful — coverage the White House says was twisted to accuse President Trump of calling for executions. The administration argues the outlets mischaracterized his call for accountability, and the White House posted its version of the facts so citizens aren’t left with the media’s one-sided spin.

Make no mistake: this is overdue accountability. For years ordinary Americans have watched as biased reporters and cable hosts manufacture outrage, selectively edit footage, or run with anonymous gossip that later collapses under scrutiny. A government that answers to the people has every right to rebut false narratives and to present documentation showing how reporting strays from reality.

Critics will howl about “attacks on the press,” but there’s a difference between free speech and a state of affairs where a few powerful media conglomerates determine the public story without being held to the same standards they demand of others. This website is not censorship; it is sunlight — a direct, public ledger that exposes the bias and gives citizens the context the corporate press refuses to provide.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt has been unapologetic about the project, telling reporters the administration will hold the media accountable “like never before,” and urging Americans to visit the page and see how stories are being spun. Patriots who love this country and respect the truth should applaud a government that pushes back against a hostile press corps and hands the facts back to the people on November 28, 2025 and beyond.
