Newsom Breaks Rank: Agrees Trans Men in Women’s Sports Unfair

On March 6, 2025, California Governor Gavin Newsom sat down with conservative activist Charlie Kirk on his podcast and plainly admitted what every common-sense American already knows: allowing biological males to compete in female sports is unfair. Newsom’s line—“I think it’s an issue of fairness. I completely agree with you… it’s deeply unfair”—was a rare moment of honesty from a Democrat who normally parrots woke talking points.

Kirk pressed the point bluntly, asking Newsom whether he would say “no men in female sports,” and Newsom did not dodge; he acknowledged the fairness problem and the political cost his party is taking by ignoring it. That admission exploded the narrative that Democrats must always choose ideological purity over common-sense protections for girls and women in athletics. Conservatives have been arguing this for years while the media pretended there was nothing to discuss.

Predictably, the woke establishment in California and across the country recoiled and rushed to virtue-signal outrage, accusing Newsom of “throwing trans people under the bus.” Their shrill response only proves the point: Democrats are more interested in performing ideological loyalty than in protecting fairness or speaking plainly to parents and coaches. Voters are tired of leaders who will not tell the truth to preserve their own standing in the woke cult.

This moment should be a wake-up call for conservatives: when even a leading Democrat governor admits the obvious, it exposes leftist hypocrisy for all to see. We should not celebrate this as compassion for a political opponent, but as an opening to press for real policy that safeguards girls’ sports, upholds common-sense biological distinctions, and restores the integrity of youth athletics. The choice is simple—stand for fairness or keep bowing to the absurdities of woke orthodoxy.

Republicans and grassroots patriots must seize this admission and demand action: state laws, school policies, and parental rights must honor the biological realities that make fair competition possible. Let Newsom’s rare honesty be a weapon, not a moment of fleeting headlines; push it into the courts, the legislatures, and the ballot box so hardworking Americans can finally get leaders who put kids and fairness first.
