GM’s $130K Escalade IQ: Luxury for Elites, Not Families in Need

General Motors just rolled out their new electric Cadillac Escalade IQ with a massive $130,000 price tag. This luxury electric SUV promises 460 miles of range and 750 horsepower for wealthy Americans who can afford it. While GM pushes these expensive electric toys, regular working families are still struggling to fill their gas tanks.

The Escalade IQ comes loaded with fancy gadgets like a giant 55-inch screen and hands-free driving technology. It can supposedly charge up to 100 miles in just 10 minutes at special charging stations. But what good are fast chargers when most of rural America still lacks the infrastructure to support them?

This electric Escalade costs more than what most hardworking Americans make in two years. GM wants us to believe that a $130,000 electric SUV is the future of transportation. Meanwhile, families are choosing between groceries and car payments on much cheaper vehicles.

The Biden administration keeps pushing electric vehicle mandates on automakers and consumers. These government rules force companies like GM to build expensive electric cars that most people cannot afford. It is another example of Washington elites deciding what is best for regular Americans.

GM built this electric Escalade on the same platform as the Hummer EV, which also costs over $100,000. These luxury electric vehicles do nothing to help working families who need reliable, affordable transportation. They serve the wealthy coastal elites who virtue signal about saving the planet.

America needs vehicles that work for real people, not just rich liberals in California. Our energy independence comes from American oil and gas, not from expensive batteries made with materials from China. We should be drilling here and creating jobs for American workers, not depending on foreign supply chains.

The Escalade IQ might impress Hollywood celebrities and tech billionaires, but it means nothing to families in Iowa or Texas. These people need trucks and SUVs they can actually buy and maintain without breaking the bank. They want American-made vehicles powered by American energy.

GM should focus on building affordable cars for American families instead of these overpriced electric toys. Real Americans want reliable vehicles that support good-paying jobs in our communities. We do not need government mandates forcing us into electric cars we cannot afford or do not want.
