America Remembers 9/11: A Tribute to Our Fallen Heroes

America pauses today to remember the heroes who ran toward danger on September 11th, 2001. Twenty-four years ago, our nation watched in horror as radical Islamic terrorists murdered nearly 3,000 innocent Americans. But we also witnessed the very best of America as our brave first responders charged into those burning towers without hesitation.

The NYPD has released a powerful video honoring the 343 firefighters, 70 law enforcement officers, and 9 EMS workers who made the ultimate sacrifice that day. These American heroes didn’t think twice about their own safety when their fellow citizens needed them most. They ran up those stairs while everyone else ran down, knowing they might never come home to their families.

But the tragedy didn’t end on September 11th. Today, thousands of our first responders are fighting for their lives against diseases caused by the toxic dust and debris at Ground Zero. These brave men and women worked in that hellish environment for nine months, breathing poison while they searched for survivors and cleared the wreckage of our enemies’ attack.

Former NYPD intelligence officer Robert Jordan spent months in that toxic zone after the attacks. Like so many others, he’s now battling serious health problems from his heroic service to our nation. These are the real costs of Islamic terrorism that the mainstream media doesn’t want to talk about.

Our first responders deserve better than empty promises from politicians who care more about foreign wars than American heroes at home. These brave Americans are still dying from 9/11, and Washington keeps failing them. It’s a disgrace that should make every patriotic American furious.

While liberal politicians waste billions on foreign aid and illegal immigrants, our 9/11 heroes struggle to get the medical care they earned with their blood and sacrifice. This is exactly the kind of America Last policy that real Americans are sick and tired of. Our own people should always come first.

The memorial ceremonies happening across our great nation today remind us that we must never forget who attacked us and why. Radical Islamic terrorism remains a threat to our way of life, and we cannot let political correctness blind us to this reality. Our enemies counted on America being weak and divided.

They were wrong then, and they’re still wrong today. As long as we have heroes like our first responders willing to sacrifice everything for their fellow Americans, this nation will never be defeated. We owe these brave men and women our eternal gratitude and our sacred promise to never forget their sacrifice.
