A coward with a rifle shot this hero in the neck while he was speaking to 3,000 students about freedom and America.
This was no random act of violence. Utah Governor Spencer Cox got it exactly right when he called this a political assassination. The killer fired a single shot from 200 meters away and is still on the run like the terrorist he is.
Charlie Kirk spent his life fighting for young Americans and conservative values. He helped President Trump connect with millions of young voters who love this country. Now the left has silenced one of our brightest voices forever.
President Trump struck back hard Wednesday night with a powerful promise. He vowed to hunt down everyone who contributed to this murder and the organizations that fund leftist violence. The President made it clear that this reign of terror against conservatives ends now.
Trump called Kirk a martyr for truth and blamed the radical left’s hateful rhetoric. For years, Democrats have called patriots like Charlie nazis and compared them to mass murderers. This poisonous language leads directly to violence and death.
