The numbers are staggering and shameful. Violent assaults jumped to 76 cases, including three brutal attacks using weapons like hammers and box cutters. One innocent woman was beaten and kicked simply because thugs thought she was Jewish.
The worst spike happened after a disgusting display at the Glastonbury Festival. A punk band led thousands in chanting “Death to the IDF” on live BBC television. The very next day, antisemitic attacks tripled across Britain.
This surge started right after Hamas terrorists butchered innocent Israelis on October 7th, 2023. Even before Israel could respond to defend itself, British Jews faced a wave of hatred on their own streets. The timing proves this is not about legitimate criticism but pure antisemitism.
London leads the nation in shame with 774 recorded incidents. Manchester follows with 194 attacks on Jewish citizens. These are Britain’s biggest cities, yet they cannot protect their Jewish neighbors from daily harassment and violence.
The data reveals a disturbing truth about who is behind these attacks. Two-thirds of incidents stem from anti-Israel hatred, while one-third come from traditional far-right extremists. Both groups target innocent British Jews for their faith and heritage.
Cultural elites bear responsibility for normalizing this hatred. When the BBC broadcasts calls for death against Jewish soldiers, it sends a green light to every antisemite in Britain. Media companies must stop platforming violence against Jews.
Britain’s Jewish community deserves better from a nation built on the rule of law. Every British citizen should be able to walk their streets safely, regardless of their faith. Until leaders take real action, these shameful numbers will only grow worse.
