The disgraced former city councilor ran her scam right in City Hall, pocketing cash in a bathroom like a common criminal.
Anderson hired her own relative for a city job, which broke the law. Then she gave them a $13,000 bonus using taxpayer money and demanded $7,000 back for herself. She literally took the kickback money in a City Hall bathroom, showing zero respect for the people who elected her.
But here’s the kicker – this woman was reportedly in America illegally before getting elected. She even bragged about being “undocumented” in past interviews. Now the Department of Homeland Security is investigating her immigration status while she serves her pathetic one-month sentence.
After getting caught stealing from taxpayers, Anderson had the nerve to beg reporters to stop covering her crimes. She actually told journalists “for the love of God, just let the story go” like she’s the victim here. This is exactly the kind of liberal entitlement that makes real Americans sick.
One month in prison for stealing thirteen thousand dollars from taxpayers is a joke. The prosecutors wanted a full year, but our broken justice system gave this crook a slap on the wrist. Meanwhile, regular Americans would face much harsher punishment for far less serious crimes.
Boston is a sanctuary city that protects illegal immigrants from federal law enforcement. Now we find out they were also protecting a corrupt politician who may have been here illegally herself. This is what happens when liberal cities put politics above the law and common sense.
Anderson also cheated on her taxes for three straight years, hiding income and using campaign money for personal expenses. She stole from taxpayers, lied to the IRS, and ran corruption schemes right out of City Hall. Yet she got less jail time than most people get for minor drug offenses.
