Catholic Church Canonizes Two Young Saints to Inspire Today’s Youth

The Catholic Church just gave America something it desperately needs right now. Two young saints are being canonized who show our kids what real heroes look like. Pier Giorgio Frassati and Carlo Acutis lived short but amazing lives that put modern culture to shame.

Frassati died in 1925 at just 24 years old, but he packed more goodness into those years than most people manage in a lifetime. This Italian young man spent his days helping the poor and sick in his hometown of Turin. While other rich kids were partying, he was giving away his shoes to barefoot children and dedicating his life to serving others.

What makes these saints special is how they connect with young people today. Pope John Paul II called Frassati the man of the beatitudes because he lived out Christian values every single day. His friends described him as an explosion of joy, which is exactly what our depressed and anxious generation needs to hear about.

Carlo Acutis represents something even more powerful for our digital age. He will become the Church’s first millennial saint, showing that holiness can flourish even in our technology-obsessed world. These two young men prove that faith and virtue never go out of style.

The timing of these canonizations could not be better. While liberal colleges push woke ideology and social media fills kids’ heads with garbage, the Catholic Church offers real role models. These saints chose sacrifice over selfishness and service over social media fame.

Both saints came from wealthy families but rejected the empty materialism that defines so much of modern life. Instead of chasing money or popularity, they chased after God and helped their neighbors. That kind of counter-cultural living takes real courage in any generation.

The fact that these canonizations are happening now sends a clear message to young Americans. You don’t need to follow the crowd or buy into the lies that happiness comes from pleasure and possessions. True joy comes from living for something bigger than yourself.

These new saints prove that holiness is not old-fashioned or boring. It’s the most radical thing you can do in a world that has lost its way. America’s young people should look to Frassati and Acutis as examples of what real strength and purpose look like.
