For too long, our military has been stuck with the weak name “Department of Defense.” That sounds like we’re just sitting around waiting to get hit. The Department of War tells our enemies we mean business and we’re ready to fight.
Our founding fathers knew what they were doing back in 1789. They called it the Department of War because that’s what militaries do – they wage war to protect America. George Washington himself said being prepared for war keeps the peace.
The Department of War led us to victory in World War I and World War II. It helped build the strongest military force the world has ever seen. Now Trump is bringing back that winning tradition that made America great.
