President Trump just did something that will make every patriot’s heart swell with pride. He signed an executive order to bring back the name Department of War for our military. This is the kind of bold leadership America has been missing for far too long.
The Department of War was the original name when George Washington founded it in 1789. Under that name, we won the War of 1812, World War I, and World War II. We were winners back then because we called things what they were.
The weak name Department of Defense makes us sound scared and defensive. The Department of War tells our enemies we mean business. This sends a clear message that America is ready to fight for our interests anywhere in the world.
Of course, the Democrats are having a meltdown about this common sense change. They are also attacking our military for taking out drug terrorists on the high seas. These are the same people who want to defund our police and coddle criminals.
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth is bringing back the warrior spirit our military needs. He even renamed his Pentagon meeting room the WAR Room. Finally, we have leaders who understand that peace comes through strength, not weakness.
This is what America First looks like in action. We are not going to apologize for having the strongest military on Earth. Our enemies need to know that we will use that strength when necessary to protect American lives and interests.
History shows that when America projects strength, the world is safer. When we act weak and apologetic, bad actors around the globe take advantage. Trump understands this basic truth that career politicians never learned.
This name change is about more than words. It is about restoring American pride and letting the world know we are back. Under President Trump, America will never again bow down to anyone or apologize for our power.
