Another activist judge has stepped in to block President Trump from enforcing our immigration laws. This time a federal court stopped the removal of over 600 Guatemalan children who entered our country illegally. The Trump administration was working to send these children back to their home country where they belong.
Liberal lawyers rushed to court in the middle of the night to stop this common-sense enforcement action. They filed an emergency lawsuit claiming these deportations were somehow unlawful. The judge sided with the open-borders crowd and issued a temporary order blocking the removals until September 14th.
This is exactly the kind of judicial activism that has plagued our immigration system for years. These judges think they know better than the President about protecting our borders. They care more about illegal immigrants than American citizens who follow the rules.
The Trump administration was simply doing its job by enforcing existing immigration law. These children entered our country without permission and should be returned to their families in Guatemala. Instead activist groups are using our courts to keep them here indefinitely.
Meanwhile the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals also ruled against Trump on Venezuelan immigration protections. The court upheld a lower judge’s decision to block ending special status for nearly 600,000 Venezuelans. Once again liberal judges are tying the hands of our immigration enforcement.
These court decisions show how the deep state continues to resist Trump’s America First agenda. Federal judges appointed by previous administrations are working overtime to sabotage border security. They want to keep our borders wide open no matter what the American people voted for.
Our immigration system is broken because of exactly this kind of judicial interference. Every time Trump tries to enforce the law these activist judges find some excuse to stop him. They are putting the interests of foreign nationals above American sovereignty.
The President needs to keep fighting these radical court decisions all the way to the Supreme Court. Americans deserve immigration enforcement that puts our country first. We cannot let a handful of liberal judges override the will of the people who elected Trump to secure our borders.
