Finally, someone is standing up for American families. HUD Secretary Scott Turner just put illegal aliens on notice that their free ride in taxpayer-funded housing is over. No more will foreign lawbreakers get to live for free while hardworking Americans struggle to pay rent.
Turner made it crystal clear that only Americans deserve help from American tax dollars. He said HUD serves just one out of four Americans who need housing help, and that has to change. The Trump administration is putting America first, just like they promised.
The new policy kicks illegal immigrants out of government housing programs completely. Turner teamed up with Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem to make sure no federal housing money goes to people who broke our laws to get here. They signed an agreement to stop this outrageous waste of our hard-earned money.
This mess started under Joe Biden when millions of illegals flooded across our border. Biden let them take housing that should go to American citizens and legal immigrants. Our veterans and struggling families got pushed to the back of the line while criminals got rewarded.
Turner is also cracking down on government-backed home loans for illegals. The Federal Housing Administration used to let non-permanent residents get taxpayer-backed mortgages. That insanity stops now under President Trump’s leadership.
Housing authorities across the country have 30 days to report which illegals are living in their buildings. Turner warned them that HUD will cut their funding if they don’t cooperate. No more sanctuary city games with our tax money.
The policy follows Trump’s executive order to end taxpayer subsidies for open borders. This is exactly what we voted for when we elected Trump again. Americans first, not last.
Liberal housing groups are already crying about families being split up. But these families chose to break our laws and steal from American taxpayers. Play by the rules or go home.
