Former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich is calling out Chicago’s weak Democratic leaders for failing their own people. He slammed Mayor Brandon Johnson and Governor J.B. Pritzker for letting criminals run wild in the Windy City. These politicians care more about politics than protecting innocent lives.
The numbers tell the whole ugly story. Chicago has seen 254 murders in just 233 days this year. Meanwhile, President Trump deployed troops to Washington D.C. and there have been zero murders there in 12 days.
Blagojevich exposed the shocking truth that 80 percent of Chicago’s murder victims are Black Americans. He said you can wake up every morning knowing someone will be murdered that day. This is the reality that Democratic leaders ignore while they live safely in their rich neighborhoods.
The former governor called out the blatant hypocrisy of these limousine liberals. If murders were happening in Pritzker’s wealthy white neighborhood, he would be begging Trump to send the Army, Navy, Marines, and Air Force. But when it’s Black communities getting slaughtered, these Democrats just look the other way.
Trump is now eyeing Chicago as his next target for a major crime crackdown. The President said Chicago residents are screaming for federal help to stop the violence. He’s ready to send the National Guard just like he did in Washington.
But weak Mayor Johnson is already pushing back against getting help. He claims to have grave concerns about troops coming to save lives in his city. This is the same failed leadership that created this murder crisis in the first place.
Blagojevich nailed it when he said this proves Black Lives Matter only exists for Democratic votes. These politicians use Black Americans every election cycle then abandon them to face deadly violence alone. It’s racism disguised as caring.
President Trump is the only leader willing to step up and protect all Americans from criminals. While Democrats play politics with people’s lives, Trump takes action to make our streets safe again. That’s real leadership America needs right now.
