President Trump made the right call this week when he ruled out putting American boots on the ground in Ukraine. Our brave men and women in uniform should not be used as peacekeepers in a European conflict. Trump knows what every patriot knows – America First means keeping our soldiers safe at home.
The president was crystal clear on Fox and Friends Tuesday morning. He promised no American ground troops would defend Ukraine’s borders after any peace deal. This is exactly the kind of strong leadership we voted for in 2024.
Instead, Trump smartly put the burden where it belongs – on Europe. These European countries have been freeloading off American military might for decades. Now they can finally step up and do their own dirty work for once.
Trump did leave the door open for air support if needed. America has the best planes and pilots in the world, and nobody else even comes close. If we help from the sky, we can keep our people out of harm’s way while still showing strength.
The Ukrainians are already showing they want peace, not more war. Back in March, they agreed to Trump’s proposal for a 30-day ceasefire during talks in Saudi Arabia. This proves Trump’s tough negotiating works better than Biden’s endless money pit approach.
Putin only respects strength, and Trump has it in spades. The former KGB agent knows he cannot push around a real American president like he did with weak leaders before. Trump’s peace through strength strategy is already working.
European allies have gotten fat and lazy while America paid their bills. For too long, they sat back while we protected them and funded their defense. Those days are over under Trump’s leadership.
This is how you end wars and bring peace – by being tough but smart. Trump will not waste American lives or taxpayer money on foreign adventures. He will protect America’s interests while forcing our allies to finally pull their own weight.
