Trump never said slavery was good or that it should be hidden from history. He simply pointed out that our museums have become woke indoctrination centers that focus only on how terrible America supposedly is. The Smithsonian has turned into a guilt factory that makes visitors feel ashamed of their own country instead of proud of our incredible achievements.
The president is absolutely right that museums should teach the full story of America, not just the parts that make leftists feel morally superior. Yes, slavery happened and it was wrong, but that’s not the only thing that defines our great nation. We also defeated slavery, built the greatest economy in history, and liberated the world from fascism and communism.
Our kids deserve to learn about American heroes, innovations, and triumphs alongside the difficult chapters. When museums only hammer visitors with negativity about racism and oppression, they’re not educating anyone. They’re just pushing a political agenda that makes Americans hate their own country.
