With a murder rate of over 27 people killed per 100,000 residents, our capital city is now one of the most violent places on Earth. Car thefts are three times higher than the national average because criminals know they can get away with anything.
Trump declared Liberation Day and sent in 800 National Guard troops to clean up the mess. He federalized the DC police and put a real law enforcement leader in charge instead of the weak politicians who created this disaster. This is exactly what strong leadership looks like when criminals are running wild in our streets.
The liberal cashless bail system has been an absolute catastrophe for working families. Violent criminals get arrested in the morning and are back on the streets by dinner time to commit more crimes. Trump is ending this madness in DC and promised to do the same in other Democrat-controlled cities like Chicago and New York.
Our President told police officers they can finally do their jobs without worrying about being attacked by woke prosecutors. For too long, good cops have been handcuffed while criminals got special treatment from liberal judges and district attorneys. Those days are over and law-abiding citizens can finally feel safe again.
Young thugs who think they can terrorize innocent people are about to learn a hard lesson. Trump wants 14-year-old criminals tried as adults when they commit violent crimes because actions have consequences. Liberal coddling of juvenile criminals has only made the problem worse and put more families in danger.
