CNN hit a new low this week when anchor Abby Phillip actually defended child labor on live television. During a heated debate with Republican analyst Scott Jennings, Phillip shocked viewers by saying 14-year-olds working on marijuana farms is perfectly fine. She claimed it doesn’t matter if kids are working marijuana farms or apple farms because it’s all just agriculture.
This disgusting display happened while they were discussing ICE raids on illegal marijuana operations. Instead of being outraged that children were being exploited, Phillip rushed to defend the practice. She told America that putting kids to work in drug operations is totally legal and acceptable.
The same Democrats who scream about protecting children suddenly don’t care when those kids are being used as cheap labor. These are the same people who want to investigate every conservative parent but ignore actual child exploitation happening in their own backyard. The hypocrisy is absolutely sickening.
Scott Jennings did what any decent person would do and called out this madness. He pointed out how dangerous these situations are for everyone involved, including the children. But Phillip kept making excuses and downplaying the severity of using kids as farm workers.
This is what happens when the liberal media gets so obsessed with defending illegal immigration that they lose all common sense. They’re so desperate to attack ICE and border enforcement that they’ll defend anything, even child labor. There’s no bottom to how low they’ll sink.
American parents work hard to protect their children from exploitation and harm. Meanwhile, CNN anchors are on television telling us that putting 14-year-olds to work in marijuana operations is just fine and dandy. This is the same network that lectures us about morality and values every single day.
The mask has completely come off the mainstream media. They don’t actually care about children or workers or anyone else they claim to champion. They only care about pushing their radical agenda and attacking anyone who tries to enforce our laws.
Every American parent should be outraged by this shameful display. When supposedly serious news anchors are defending child labor on national television, we’ve reached a new low. This is exactly why millions of Americans have lost all trust in the corrupt mainstream media.
