A brave young American hero was brutally beaten by a gang of teenage criminals in our nation’s capital. Edward Coristine, a 19-year-old former worker for President Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency, was attacked while defending a woman from harm. The vicious assault left him bloodied and with a concussion.
The attack happened early Sunday morning in Washington DC’s Logan Circle neighborhood. A group of about a dozen young thugs tried to carjack Coristine and his girlfriend around 3 AM. When the criminals targeted the couple, Coristine pushed his girlfriend to safety in their car.
Instead of running away, this patriotic young man turned to face the gang alone. He knew he was outnumbered but refused to let these criminals hurt an innocent woman. The cowardly attackers then brutally beat him until police finally arrived and the gang fled like rats.
Police have arrested two 15-year-olds from Maryland for the crime. Both teens face carjacking charges, but many more suspects are still on the loose. This shows how bad crime has gotten in Democrat-run DC where children think they can attack hardworking Americans without consequences.
President Trump and Elon Musk are rightfully outraged by this attack on their team member. Trump shared photos of the bloodied young hero on Truth Social to show Americans what liberal policies have done to our capital. Musk called for the federal government to take control of DC because local Democrats cannot keep people safe.
This is what happens when soft-on-crime Democrats run a city into the ground. Washington DC has become a war zone where gangs of teenagers roam the streets attacking innocent people. Liberal prosecutors and politicians care more about protecting criminals than law-abiding citizens.
It is time for President Trump to federalize DC and restore law and order to our capital. The Home Rule Act gives him the power to take over the police department and bring in the National Guard. American patriots should not have to fear for their lives in the shadow of our White House.
