Active Shooter Targets Fort Stewart: Five Soldiers Wounded in Attack

Another tragic day hits one of America’s military bases. Five brave soldiers were shot and wounded during an active shooter incident at Fort Stewart in Georgia this morning. The shooter has been caught and is now in custody. This attack happened right in the heart of our military community.

Our soldiers were just doing their jobs when violence struck. These heroes put their lives on the line every day to protect our freedom. Now they are fighting for their own lives in hospital beds. Every American should be praying for these wounded warriors and their families.

Law enforcement and base security acted fast to stop this threat. The base went into immediate lockdown at 11:04 this morning. Officers rushed to the scene and got the situation under control. Their quick response likely saved more lives.

The entire base was sealed off to keep everyone safe. Soldiers were told to lock down their buildings and stay inside. Phone lines stayed open so commanders could check on their troops. This is exactly how our military should respond to danger.

Georgia Governor Brian Kemp spoke out about this terrible attack. He called it a tragedy and asked all Georgians to pray for the victims. Our leaders need to stand with our military when they face threats like this. Governor Kemp did the right thing.

These attacks on our service members are completely unacceptable. Our soldiers already face enough danger overseas fighting for America. They should never have to worry about their safety on American soil. We must do everything to protect the men and women who protect us.

Our military bases need the strongest security possible. These facilities house our nation’s finest heroes and most important equipment. Any weakness in base security puts our entire country at risk. We cannot let our guard down even for one second.

Americans everywhere must rally around these wounded soldiers right now. These patriots chose to serve our great nation when they could have taken easier paths. The least we can do is keep them in our prayers and support their recovery. God bless our troops and God bless America.
