America’s friends in Israel faced unfair treatment. Our Christian allies were being blocked and harassed by Israeli officials. This was a shocking betrayal of the strong bond between our nations.
US Ambassador Mike Huckabee stood up for American Christians. He told Israel to stop hurting our friends. The Israeli government was making Christian groups jump through hoops just to visit the Holy Land.
Workers from Baptist and other Christian groups couldn’t get their visas renewed. Israel forced them to answer long questionnaires about their beliefs. These are the same Christians who support Israel with donations and tourism.
Ambassador Huckabee sent a strong letter to Israel’s leaders. He warned this could damage US-Israel relations. He said America might have to tell Christians to stop visiting Israel and giving money.
The ambassador made it clear this was unacceptable. He even hinted America could make it harder for Israelis to get US visas. This brave move showed we won’t tolerate bullying of our Christian brothers and sisters.
Thankfully, the crisis got fixed quickly after Huckabee stepped in. Lawyer Calev Myers helped work out a solution. Now Christian groups will get their visas without all the red tape.
This isn’t the first time Israel has mistreated Christian visitors. The same thing happened back in 2023. It shows Israel must do better at respecting its friends.
Americans should be proud of Ambassador Huckabee. He protected our Christian values in the Holy Land. His courage shows America remains committed to defending religious freedom everywhere.
