Trump’s Bold Move: Cutting Off Funds to Biased NPR and PBS

The Trump administration is taking bold action to stop taxpayer funding of biased media. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt recently shocked the press corps by detailing NPR and PBS’s partisan reporting. This justified President Trump’s executive order cutting their federal money.

Leavith listed example after example of how these outlets pushed liberal propaganda instead of fair news. They abandoned journalistic standards to attack conservatives and promote left-wing views. Americans are tired of funding media that hates their values.

In May 2025, President Trump signed an order telling the Corporation for Public Broadcasting to stop funding NPR and PBS. The order clearly states federal dollars must not support partisan news coverage. It cuts off money going directly to these networks.

The order also blocks sneaky backdoor funding through local stations. No public radio or TV stations can use federal grants to support NPR or PBS content. This tight rule ensures every taxpayer dollar is protected from bias.

Congress is now debating whether to approve these cuts worth $1.1 billion. Some Republicans worry about local stations losing money entirely. But leadership is pushing forward to stop funding corrupt media elites.

NPR has repeatedly shown its bias against conservative voices and policies. PBS hides behind children’s shows while pushing liberal agendas. Both networks betrayed the public trust.

This move puts American taxpayers first. Why should hardworking families pay for news that insults them? The media elite must learn they can’t take our money while attacking our values.

President Trump is delivering on his promise to defund partisan propaganda machines. Real Americans support this courageous stand against biased media. Our taxes should fund schools and roads, not hateful rhetoric.
