Federal law enforcement officers and local police were targeted in a violent ambush on the Fourth of July. Criminals used fireworks, graffiti, and military-style tactics to attack an ICE facility in Texas. This cowardly act left an officer shot and exposed the dangers facing those who protect our borders.
The attackers dressed in black military gear and vandalized the Prairieland Detention Center with anti-ICE graffiti like “traitor” and “ICE pig.” They shot fireworks to lure unarmed corrections officers outside. This was a deliberate trap set by anti-law enforcement radicals.
When police arrived, a gunman hiding nearby shot an officer in the neck. Another attacker fired 20-30 rounds at unarmed ICE personnel. These thugs showed complete disregard for human life and the rule of law.
Thankfully, the wounded officer survived after emergency treatment. But this attack proves open borders policies endanger every American. Weak leadership invites chaos, putting brave officers in the crosshairs.
Ten suspects now face attempted murder charges and could get life in prison. An eleventh helped destroy evidence. These penalties must send a message: targeting law enforcement will be crushed.
U.S. Attorney Nancy Larson rightly called this an “egregious attack” and part of a “trend of violence” against police. Patriots know these officers deserve support, not hatred.
This violence stems from the left’s constant demonization of ICE and border patrol. While patriots celebrated freedom, radicals attacked those defending it. Enough is enough.
Back the blue. Secure the border. Put these traitors behind bars forever. That’s how we honor our heroes and protect America.
