A violent felon attacked hardworking sanitation workers in a shocking display of lawlessness. Quinson De’Shawn Croson, a convicted criminal barred from owning firearms, opened fire on a garbage truck after a petty argument at a Florida Wawa. This brutal assault endangered innocent public servants just doing their jobs.
The confrontation started inside a Zephyrhills gas station when Croson exchanged words with two sanitation employees. Instead of walking away, this felon chose violence. He followed the workers to their truck still seething with rage.
As the garbage truck pulled away, Croson gave chase in his SUV, ramming the sanitation vehicle while firing multiple gunshots. Dashcam footage shows the truck swerving desperately as bullets pierced the cabin. This was cold-blooded attempted murder in broad daylight.
One brave worker tumbled from the moving truck during the violent attack, suffering injuries. These are the Americans who keep our communities clean – now fighting for their lives because of a thug’s temper. They deserved safety, not flying bullets.
Croson shouldn’t have been carrying a gun at all. As a convicted felon, he broke Florida law just by possessing that weapon. Yet he flagrantly ignored the rules, proving criminals don’t obey gun restrictions.
Police later arrested Croson on two counts of attempted murder and felony weapons charges. Good police work tracked this dangerous man down, but he never should’ve been loose to terrorize citizens. Justice must come down hard.
This is what happens when repeat offenders roam free instead of behind bars. Soft justice policies put communities at risk from predators who belong in prison. Enough is enough – we need truth in sentencing.
Hardworking Americans deserve protection from violent felons. It’s time to back our police, lock up dangerous criminals, and keep guns out of the hands of lawbreakers. Our streets must be safe again.
