Penn Strips Titles from Lia Thomas, Restores Fairness in Women’s Sports

The University of Pennsylvania has erased transgender swimmer Lia Thomas’ school records and stripped her of titles. This comes after the school agreed to ban transgender athletes from women’s sports. The deal was made under pressure from the Trump administration.

This is a huge win for female athletes across America. Real girls were forced to compete against biological men. That was never fair. Now justice has been served. Common sense has finally prevailed in women’s sports.

The Trump administration threatened to take away $175 million from the university. That forced the school to follow the law. Education Secretary Linda McMahon called this a victory for women and girls everywhere. The government showed it won’t let women’s rights be trampled.

Penn will give all records and titles back to the female swimmers who earned them. That’s how it should be. Medals must go to deserving female athletes, not to biological males. Fairness in sports has been restored at last.

Going forward, no transgender athletes can compete against women at Penn. The school promised to keep women’s locker rooms and bathrooms strictly for females too. Protecting women’s privacy and safety matters. This is a step in the right direction.

Penn’s president claimed the school still cares about all students. But actions speak louder than words. The university only did the right thing when forced. Their double-talk shows they can’t be trusted to protect women.

Female swimmers at Penn suffered for years. They had to watch a biological male take their trophies and records. That injustice is finally over. These brave young women deserve their moment in the sun.

This decision sends a powerful message nationwide. Women’s sports must be reserved for biological women. Period. Let this be a warning to every school trying to push this madness. The American people won’t stand for it.
