Liberal activists and Democrat politicians are furious that American voters reelected President Trump. They’re using our court system to attack him and block his agenda. This dangerous strategy is called “lawfare,” and it’s an abuse of power that undermines our democracy.
Senator Ted Cruz calls this “judicial tyranny.” He says radical left-wing judges are issuing nationwide orders to stop President Trump from doing his job. These judges weren’t elected by the people, yet they’re overruling the President for all 330 million Americans.
Democrats lost at the ballot box, so now they’re shopping for friendly judges. They file lawsuits in liberal cities like San Francisco or Baltimore. Then activist judges hand down sweeping injunctions that halt President Trump’s policies everywhere.
This lawfare is happening at an alarming speed. In just the first two months of President Trump’s term, judges issued 37 nationwide injunctions against his administration. That’s more than any other president faced in their entire time in office.
This isn’t normal. For America’s first 150 years, federal courts never issued a single nationwide injunction against a president. Now we’ve seen over 40 in just a few months. That shows how far the left will go to defy the voters’ decision.
Democrats can’t accept that they lost the election. They tried to jail President Trump before the election, and when that failed, they moved to plan B. Now they’re weaponizing the courts because they hate the voters’ choice.
Congress must act fast to stop this lawfare. These judicial power grabs violate the separation of powers and trample the Constitution. We can’t let a few radical judges in California overturn the will of the entire nation.
The American people spoke loud and clear in the last election. President Trump won fair and square, and these dirty legal tricks won’t change that. Our courts must respect democracy, not attack it.
