A couple of prominent individuals from opposing parties got into a heated exchange recently.

The media often covers both parties' representatives for different reasons. For instance, Marjorie Taylor Greene, a Republican from Georgia, is often criticized and even mocked by the press for making controversial statements.
On the other hand, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a member of the House of Representatives from New York, is being praised and celebrated for her controversial comments.
After winning the election, House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy and other Republican officials decided to remove Ilhan Omar from the Foreign Relations Committee due to her history of anti-Semitic comments.
During a debate about the September 11 attacks, Omar minimized the incident by saying that it was just something done by “some people.” In 2021, she referred to Israel as an apartheid state. She also compared the country and the US with groups such as the Taliban and the Islamist terrorist organization Hamas.
"The Republican Party stated that Omar's comments have disqualified her from serving on the Foreign Affairs Committee. It is a panel that is widely viewed as a voice for the US and its international relations."
During a debate on the House floor, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez criticized the Republicans for removing Omar from the committee. She also accused them of being hypocritical and racist.
Despite her controversial statements, Marjorie Taylor Greene was still given committee assignments.
In her speech, Ocasio-Cortez called out the Republicans for excluding Omar from the committee and said that they were racist hypocrites. She also referred to the removal of her colleague as an attack on women of color.
During the debate, the Democratic representative criticized the Republicans for giving the controversial member of the House of Representatives committee assignments. She said that it was hypocritical for them to remove Omar from the panel due to her past anti-Semitic statements.
When Pelosi was in charge, she removed Greene's committee assignments due to her controversial statements. However, after becoming a member of Congress, she decided to rescind her previous statements.
During her time in Washington, Omar has made numerous anti-Semitic statements.
After the Republicans took control of the House, Greene was given a new committee assignment. She is now on the House Committee on Homeland Security. Omar, on the other hand, was removed from the Foreign Relations panel.
During her speech, Greene responded to the accusations made by the New York representative. She noted that the Republicans had also removed Adam Schiff and Eric Swalwell from the committee.

But who knows, maybe they identify as “women of color.”

Following the tweet by Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Greene responded by accusing her and her colleagues of misusing the COVID funds.

She then went for kill, as she claimed that Alexandria doesn't want to debate her.
