Report: Hunter Paid Dad Over $50K In ‘Rent’ For Delaware Home

According to a document obtained by the New York Post, Hunter Biden, the son of former Vice President Joe Biden, made monthly rent payments of almost $50,000 while he was living at the president's house.

According to a background screening request, Hunter was able to pay almost $50,000 a month in rent for a year while he was living at Joe Biden's home in Delaware. The rental agreement shows that Hunter had listed his rental property on March 17, 2017. It was last updated in July 2018.

After leaving the White House in 2017, Joe Biden reportedly stored a large amount of classified documents in his garage and other locations. CNN reported that the first batch of documents contained information about Iran and Ukraine. It also shows that Hunter filled out a form indicating that he owned the home. It's not clear why he would have paid rent.

In 2017, Joe Biden listed on his tax return that he had received almost $20,000 in rent. In 2018, he listed no rent payments.

Hunter's law firm, Owasco PC, was also listed on his return as an entity he owned in 2018. James Comer, the chairman of the House Oversight Committee, said that he believed that many of Hunter's suspicious wire transfers were made through Owasco PC. He has also requested that Hunter's wealth manager turn over the records of his bank accounts to the committee.

For money launderers, wire transfers are a convenient and effective method of moving funds. To minimize the risks that they pose to financial institutions, they are generally flagged for review and reported to the IRS. In addition, wire payments to Hunter and James Biden that were made through international wire transfers are also monitored to make sure that the money is not being used for illegal activities.

In 2019, Hunter Biden revealed in a text message that the Biden family had an arrangement where his father would collect half of his son's salary. In a text message to his daughter, Hunter said that he hoped that everyone would do what he had done and pay for his family's expenses for the next 30 years. He noted that he wouldn't ask his daughter to take a salary cut.

The payment mechanism used by the Biden family could provide a glimpse into the inner workings of their business empire, which could lead to legal proceedings.
